Biography
Susana Samán during her first 20 years lived in her hometown Guayaquil, Ecuador and then took up residence in Caracas until now.
From 2010 to 2023 he entered the renowned School of Graphic Arts: El Thaller, in the city of Caracas, where his artistic training is headed by learning pictorial and drawing techniques that allow him to develop a work based on plastic arts. and incorporating Digital Art, graphics and other elements such as color and gestures typical of Abstract Expressionism, as well as Descriptive Surrealism.
During these 13 years it has been directed by the renowned master of Plastic and Graphic Arts, National Prize winner of Venezuela on several occasions: Jorge Estrada Becelise.
It begins by exploring an expression whose visual antecedents come from the tradition of marine landscaping and then moves towards a deeper conception of the subject. In these works he incorporates geographical elements typical of the Jordanian and Lebanese coasts in such a way that they create a challenging artistic introspection that allows him to consolidate his own language.
All of this is also influenced by his training at the University Institute of Design in the Venezuelan capital between the years 1980-1984. Likewise, his studies at the Catholic University of Guayaquil in the Faculty of Architecture were his beginnings, gradually integrating and including: drawing, perspective, color and the elements of composition and artistic planning to that training.
Currently some of his works are in Santiago de Chile, Bogotá, Guayaquil (Ecuador), Miami and Madrid.
